It is a great privilege when a family enrolls in one of my classes – an honor that they will allow me to be part of their lives each week, and hopefully bring the love of music and learning into their home for a lifetime.
After practicing medicine for more than 9 years, I decided to pursue my dream of “working” for the sole purpose of my own enjoyment! And what better way than to combine my endless love of music and young children. Because music has always been my first love! I realized after taking my daughter to Kindermusik from the age of one year that this could really be the opportunity that I have been searching for. I experienced first-hand how she soaked up the music and creativity of each class and how she was able to keep a steady beat at an astounding young age. I believe that music opens your mind to learning anything and everything. It is also a great joy for both parent and child when they can create memories and experiences together in one of my Kindermusik classes. Each and every Kindermusik activity is based on research and designed for whole child learning, and the fun and happiness we have in class is part of the community we are building together.
I am committed to a classroom that is clean and healthy for your family, and ensuring that participation is safe for all those involved. Our instruments and manipulatives are cleaned and sterilized regularly. Hand sanitizer and tissues are always available, as are areas for changing diapers. Nursing mothers are welcome to nurse anywhere they are comfortable.
My only mission at Kindermusik with Marcelle is to provide your family with a class that will show you how to enjoy music! And give ideas on how the enjoyment can be carried on at home the whole week!
Classes will be made up in case of teacher illness or inclement weather. Make up days are scheduled within the year and will be posted in the classroom. There are no refunds for student absences.
Infants may attend Kindermusik classes in an infant carrier (car seat, sling, front pack, backpack, etc.), bouncy, saucer, or other such holder for babies. Parents must be fully available to participate with the enrolled child. All siblings are welcome to participate in the sharing time at the end of the class. For the safety of our babies, older siblings are not permitted to attend Kindermusik Sing & Play classes. Sibling discounts are available – please contact me individually for details.
Sick child policy.
Please be considerate of other children and adults in our classes. If you or your child is sick, please do not come to class. You/your child should be fever-free for 24 hours and have no contagious characteristics (rash, drainage, etc.)
Your enrollment acknowledges your commitment to attending classes from September through June, and secures your child’s place in classes for the entire session. In the event of a health emergency, financial crisis, or family relocation, withdrawal may be requested. Vacations and scheduling conflicts are not acceptable circumstances. 15 days written notice of any withdrawal is required. Your enrollment and payments will continue to be active until the end of that 15-day notice period.
If you are not completely happy with your Kindermusik experience after attending 6 consecutive classes, you may request withdrawal per policy above
